Interesting how if I remember right in 2011 one of the writers explored islamophobia in a couple of issues of this. Which for those who don't know that word because I didn't even know its a word that existed till I read it while reading up on M but its basically prejudice against, or hatred or irrational fear of muslims. Which to me is an interesting thing to explore with the combination of the fact she is a mutant also.

So we have made the point that M is obviously muslim but how does she show off her muslim heritage within X-Factor?

She doesn't particularly. It gets mentioned from time to time but it's not a big thing. Her religion is only part of her character not the defining aspect of it.

I guess the reason why I am making it such a issue is because I am curious about M because for me I haven't seen a muslim super hero. So I just wonder if her religion at all conflicts what she does as apart of X-Factor. Which I can obviously see doesn't.

Why you wondering about her religion conflicting with her duties, if you can obviously see doesn't?

I remember M back in the Gen X days ... she always struck me as non-practicising Muslim since I know she's drank in the past :)

The last issue of X-Factor was good

Spoiler: show
Jamie and Layla get a happy ending, with him getting turned back to normal. It was a nice wrap up. Hopefully PAD's next project, which his note at the end of the issue said will be announced soon, will be something cool. Its been a long ride (112 issues, more than most writers get nowadays) and while it was never a high seller, X-Factor has consistently been one of, if not the, best comic Marvel has been publishing since it started. I'll miss the book, and I hope the characters don't get screwed up by other writers.
