At the moment, I'd have to go with Damion Scott. His overly disproportionate style and cartoony feel to the comics detracts so much from the story - I physically can't bring myself to read them. Despite following a series for years - if he does the art, I can't read it. It's just too much. The faces look fake, the hands are ginormous and for some reason character's like Batman tower over everyone else. I understand that there's an effect here and there, but there's no need for him to be twelve feet tall. In some scenes together - a 16 year old Tim Drake's head is no higher than his waist. That combined with their absolutely huge hands and feet and unrealistic wrists and other attaching body parts - it just doesn't make any sense.

Who's your least favorite comic book artist? And why?

Frank Miller. To me, he's worse than Liefeld. He just draws people so badly. Plus, he's often lazy when it comes to drawing backgrounds and other stuff. His morbidly obese Batman in DKR is probably the worst single character I've seen him draw, altho0ugh his manly Elektra is up there. If forced to choose, I'd take a Liefeld book over a Miller book every time. Compared to Miller, Liefeld is a competent artist and writer. I dislike Liefeld a lot, but I can't stand Miller.

Dunno if I could narrow it down to one but there are a few candidates including (but not exclusive to):

ERIC CANETE

ROB LIEFELD

TAN ENG HUAT

CHRIS BACHALO (or at least his recent stuff anyway)

Words can't even describe my general -___-; at the Eric Canate. I've never seen that artist's work before...but /damn/ that's....just....yeah...

Rob Liefeild is just...well...Rob Liefeild. Still, that Captain America thing....since when was he a Tranny is my only concern? He's got bigger boobs then I do -__-;

compared to the two above, Tang Eng Huat and Chris Bachalo don't seem as bad to me though. :shrug:

Step forward Humberto Ramos. Never a fan of the exagerated style but some recent stuff is god awful.

Mahmoud Asrar. His style doesn't seem compatible with the genre he is drawing for (superhero, Supergirl in particular)

Never seen the guy's art before but based on this preview page I'm sure glad he's not working on any of the books I'm buying.

what's with the habit of hiring artists who can only draw melting Madame Tussaud figures as opposed to real artists who can memorize human anatomy to the finest detail and whose sole dream is to be part of the industry ?

Seems that there's certain editors out there that like this style of art and are more than happy to hire those artists. Does kind of make a mockery of the claims (Marvel's in particular) that they make about all artists (fill-in and main) on a book.

Axel Alonso via CBR wrote:
With each series, we're striving to bring the same sense of artistic cohesiveness that benefirted some of our more successful recent launches -- say, "Daredevil" or "Uncanny X-Force." The goal is that complementary artists will build a long-term visual identity for each title.

Rob Liefeld. :( He's horrible.

This, however, is funny:
