Because your not there everyday and you can't talk gamer to them. They can spot a "non-gamer" a mile away some one who just plays a few games is there just to buy a game while a "Gamer" will send hours talking about games and industry with them.

I was in a GameStop shortly after Gran Turismo 5 came out and the guy working the counter sounded exactly like the gamer jerk/snob. I was glad to get out of the store.

my pet peeve?
lines. I despise standing in lines. If there's a line in a store, I'll walk around the store a while longer if the checkout lines are too long. On top of that are those idiots that make the most assanine small talk in line. Shut up... I don't care if you think that 15 year old girl ahead of us is hot nor do I care that your getting hemmorhoid cream for your brother and it not for you. I just don't give a goddamm about it! Turn around and shut your pie hole!

My pet peeve is people who blatantly criticize someone and puts them down all the time because they enjoy reading graphic novels/comics. I have been reading comics and graphic novels on and off for a few years, and it seems like every time I pick up a new book or series, someone criticizes me for it.

I will admit, I am a nerd. I enjoy comics, video games, computers, etc, just like any other nerd. But I don't need to be criticized/ made fun of because of it.

Some people just need to grow up.

Idiots (in general, I can cite examples if required).

People who have a false sense of entitlement.

Technological advancements that we supposedly want but never ask for.

see now, I have to disagree here. Idiots are fun...whenever the world is down, there's always an idiot to laugh at.
Way back when I worked fast food, I used to LOVE the drunks that would come through the drive thru after the store was closed. Usually drunk... the lights would be off, menu board off, dark as anything and they still pulled up and would yell at the speaker... then drive up and knock on the window.
These are the same idiots that straight up try to steal someting in plain sight of store employees... or, better yet, cops. They make fools out of themselves for no other reason than that they are idiots.

Yes... I love idiots. If for no other reason that to make me laugh.

when people say "nucular" instead of "nuclear". Drives me IN-SANE - especially if they think they're being really smart for talking about such subject matter.

Answer -
That you are here. That life exists, and identity.

That the powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse.

People who take to long to go at green lights, people who take up two lanes, people who stop halfway into the intersection at stop signs, people who don't use a turn signal and many, many other driving related things.... i guess you can just say bad drivers. lol

Sorry, should have been more specific. Funny idiots are on the whole fine, I'm talking about the FUCKING idiots.

Examples:

I'm standing outside a store looking at items in the window. Woman pushing a pram & texting on her mobile comes down the pavement and runs into me. Her reaction - "Why don't you watch where you're going? Can't you see I've got a kid here?" I'm standing still, she's the one moving = IDIOT.

At the games club, putting a promotion on to encourage new players. Big sign on the wall, right next to me - "New players, sign up & get a FREE deck of cards". Most common question for the day - "How much do these cards cost?" = IDIOT.

:torch: The biggest thing that gets me heated is waiting for someone. I dont mind waiting a couple of mins but I hate it when someone thinks that their time is more important than yours so they take there sweet time to get somewhere. Dont get me wrong I am a couple of mins late sometimes but I will never make a person wait more them 5 mins..

People who are rude for no reason. You say thank you to someone I only get a reply 50% of the time. People are becoming increasingly more rude in the US. Way worse now than it was 20 years ago.
