Hello,

I want to know what are your favorite stories in the mangas you have read.
For example in Dragon ball I always consider the first arc where all the characters meet for the first time goku, bulma,, etc has something very special.

What are yours ?

Best regards,
Jed Long

well for the most fmous :

Alabasta in One Piece, the first really ambitious story Arc of the manga, and clearly the best to date ! Mr 2 FTW

Sangoku vs the Red Ribbon Army, just for the epic battle against the ninja

and for naruto I would definitely agree with thatguypiff :D

The Chizuru Honda story arc of Bokurano: Ours, also the Aiko Tokosumi arc. (It's really easy to pinpoint an exact story arc when they're only 4-5 chapters long)

Cage of Eden, the beginning of the manga. Where it shows the beast side of humans, when theres no law and order, how chaotic things can be while facing the dangerous creatures of an unknown island. But thats just me lol

I like the Water 7/ Enies Lobby arc from One Piece. Followed by the Shabondy arc with the introduction of Kidd, X-drake and Law.

The ‘Buddha’ series by the Godfather of Manga himself, Osamu Tezuka is outstanding and I would argue that it teaches the story of Buddhism better than any secondary school text. It spends time explaining the caste system in ancient India and the injustices that led to Gautama Buddha founding the religion. The series of 14 volumes looks at his journey and the foundation of the religion itself. I know, the way I have worded it sounds dull but in the hands of Tezuka nothing is ever dull. In fact, I would recommend anything he has done, especially if you want to build up an understanding of Manga’s foundations and the inspiration which drove Kishimoto to Naruto and the like (which also is great fun if want it simple). Koike and Kamimura’s Lady Snowblood is excellent. The namesake of the books is an assassin looking for vengeance against a horde of bandits…with a nice mix of western and eastern traditions. Something different anyway: be brave and give them a go!

Frieza Saga in Dragon Ball Z always. Goku being the Legendary Super Saiyan was great until everybody was Super Saiyan. It didn't bother me too much but it took away from Goku
