Bleach and Naruto are among my favorites, though I don't branch away from that genre much when it comes to manga.

Blade of the Immortal is good from what I've read, though I'm way, way behind.

Claymore and Vagabond are both good reads in the early going. Anymore they're just entirely too drawn out and in Claymore's case, downright hard to follow.

Battle Royale was good if you like over the top violence.

Now a days I'm reading Hajime no Ippo, Naruto has lost interest for me lately.

New to manga

Hi guys I was wondering what you all would consider your top 5 manga "must reads" for someone who has generally been just into DC & Marel comics.

For ongoing manga's I'd vote for One Piece, Naruto and Noblesse. For completed it's going to be Psyren imo.

What is Sgt. Frog? (Seriously I have never heard of this...)
I was reading Naruto alot but recently I have found myself looking for other manga to read.
Currently I like The Breaker and The Breaker: New Waves, One Piece and Bleach.
I really liked Vinland Saga unfortunately it seems to come out once every month or so and Ubel Blatt has been on break for awhile but may be coming back this year so if it does I will be reading that again.

3 of the top 5 currently are probably: Naruto One Piece Bleach (In no specific order.)
I have been looking for new manga to read but most that I find that look interesting seem to be quick and short and are probably written just to get a quick 11-13 episode anime made and make some quick money and then be forgotten by everyone.

You could try reading The Breaker (read left to right) and The Breaker: New Waves (read right to left) its pretty decent but is technically manhwa and not manga or at least I think thats how its catagorized... I just go by if its read left to right its usually manhwa lol.

well i have lots of manga for you ^_^
first of all we have our mainstream manga like:Naruto,Bleach,Soul Eater, full metal alchemist,Gamaran,AIKI.

and then i think you should read some korean once like:veritas, the breaker(+the breaker:new waves).

AND MY ALL TIME FAVE AND ITS SUPER BRUTAL AND AMAZING(the best drawings i have ever seen in a manga and a story almost 20 years old and onging) IS:BERSERK.
down side is the writer does whatever he wants so he may publish a chapter once every 2 weeks or once a month or every 6 months.
but you have over 300 chapters to catch up on ^_^

Enjoyed alot of manga Akira, Bleach, Naruto, Battle Royale and so on. But the most satisfying read for me would have to be Monster. Just felt alot like the fugitive at first but got better and better as the plot got more complex.
