Post subject:  London Olympics 2012

I would figure i would make one sense so far there isn't a thread about it and that the London Olympics has started a couple of days ago. Thoughts so far on the various matches or winners so far? And whats been your fav. part to see so far?

Meh, not bothered either way about the Olympics. It's mainly a load of sports I don't care about for the other 206 weeks in the Olympic cycle so no reason why I should be interested now.

I've watched both GB men's matches in the football and the ocassional news round up but that's about it.

I don't really watch either I mostly wanna see the results like who won and whats the medal count so far. From what I read so far China and USA are going neck and neck in medal counts. One thing I would have loved to see them do is when they did the opening ceremony they should have had David Tennant dressed as The Doctor run with the olympic torch and start the games since there was a Doctor Who episode where that happened.

The only event I can't wait to see is weightlifting 105kg class. The other sports I don't really care. I spend a few minutes every day to see some random stuff but nothing more.

Actually one event I look forward to watching is the fencing matches. Those are def. the ones that catch my eye to watch and really get into more then the other ones since I have a bit of a interest in fencing.

I'm really enjoying the Olympics and have been hooked right from the outstanding opening ceremony. It's nice that we Brits can have a laugh at ourselves *queen flying into the Stadium* and I am proud of the accomplishments. I would also like to thank all the athletes taking part and the placement of the venue as it has meant that my recent trip into London to the Forbidden Planet was met by hardly any traffic and certainly hardly any people - it seems they're all off watching the games. Enjoy it while it lasts! Fantastic evening for Team GB this evening too.
