I think U.K. band are interesting I just don't know that many so could anyone suggest a good U.K. Band? I am not looking for any specific genre I but mostly rock, punk, metal and etc. Pretty much all genres and give me a good suggestion of a U.K. Band?

For rock stuff my two favourite British bands are Hundred Reasons (listen to Silver and Falter on YouTube) and Hell is For Heroes (listen to anything off of The Neon Handshake album).

Also worth a listen is a band called A. Check out their songs called Nothing and Something's Going On.

For old school British Punk then The Clash and The Sex Pistols are obviously worth a go.

The Who
The Clash
Muse
Franz Ferdinand
Hundred Reasons ( Thanks to CactusFunk, I just found these guys )
Belle and Sebastian
Pet Shop Boys
Goldfrapp ( My Current Favourite ) :D
Funeral For A Friend

oh wow, somebody else likes them :O

on topic though, i enjoy violent delight, a punk band that sounds a lot different to the current onslaught of emo bands. contains teen humour. considered a one hit wonder but the rest of their songs are pretty decent too.

id also recommend paradise lost, anathema and my dying bride, more so due to loyalty to the genre than anything else and need no introduction, doom metal.

the penultimate one id recommend would be season's end, only way i can describe them would be subtly brilliant, fusing progressive, doom, gothic, symphonic metal genres.

and lastly a dark cabaret band birdeatsbaby, although a acquired taste, im addicted to them.

The Dark Third has it moments but I just cannot get into Armor Vinvit Omnia, a bit too electronic maybe.

oh, i forgot To-Mera

To-Mera are a metal band that specialize in "Jazz interludes", in a lot of their songs it comes across like the very early slipknot(M.F.K.R) stuff, and in places more modern slipknot, with a touch of evanescence(the female singer sounds a lot like her at times).

this is one of there slower songs, and more ballad like. my favourite song by them, Asylum, isn't on youtube in a reasonable quality.

another harder one, to show the progressive and heavier side a bit better.
