Don't get me wrong I'm a huge fan of his work but in my opinion there has been a drop in the quality my question is should he step away and come back when he has some fresh ideas from the court of the owls through batman zero year felt epic endgame didn't feel the same I was disappointed when Brian Azzarello walked away from Wonder Woman but he was done with his story am i the only one who thinks this?

Endgame was a bit meh for me too but I have been enjoying Superheavy.

I wouldn't be adverse to Snyder/Capullo taking an arc off to recharge. It may work in their favour in the long run but who would be able to step in & keep the sales up?

J M Straczynski and John Romita Jr.

I think it might be awesome to see if they could do as well on Batman as they did on Amazing Spider-Man.

Superheavy has been really good. In some ways, it's going to be almost a shame when Bruce Wayne returns to the cowl in #50, but we'll see how they handle it.

Capullo is taking time off from Batman after #51 to work with Mark Miller, so we'll see what effect that has on Snyder (if anything).

I wouldn't mind Jock back for a full arc or maybe Snyder can pull one of his Vertigo cohorts in (Rafael Albuquerque or Sean Murphy) for a few issues.

There you have it!
Quote:
Scott Snyder To Leave Batman For Detective Comics
Batman is one of the comics that will going bi-weekly at DC Comics, after the big relaunch, this summer.

Look for its writer for the last five years, Scott Snyder to change his plans as a result, to leave the title that made him an A-List comic book superstar and start writing – the secondary Batman title at the publisher – Detective Comics.

It’s the comic Scott wrote for DC Comics before Batman, the title that originated the character back in the thirties, and that still stars Batman. But it tries to (occasionally) tell different kinds of stories.

Detective Comics will remain a monthly title. The decision to switch books is more likely to be remove Snyder from the event driven nature of some modern comics and of the pressure of writing the lead Batbook, and DC’s bestselling title. He will be more able to do as he pleases with he character.

Here’s the bigger question though; with Scott Snyder on board, will Detective Comics start to outsell Batman?

Bi-monthly Batman will mean me dropping Bats & going to Detective with Snyder I think.

I've really enjoyed his handling of Batman, so I think I'll follow him.
