a sig can be between an image made smaller and/or part of a larger image,to images altered with filters and/or blending options, and images joined together to create a single image.

Photoshop or it's equal but free alternatives are the recommended tools to make sigs with.

there isn't a single right way to make sigs, you could either mimic the styles of your favorite sigs or come up with your own style. :-)

+ font looks like the one from the 60's Batman show.

- text blends with the environment too much.

= 4/5

what program did you use ? :-)

The font is actually the Batman font (well spotted)

Yeah I figured about the blending of the text with the bg, I think theres a little bit too much purple tbh

Did it with Photoshop CS4 Portable

I thought so,no way you could've made that texture effect with MS Paint. :-)

regarding the Joker image,is the aspect ratio correct ? because it looks like it is but I could be wrong.

and did you already found the image without the background or did you use the Magic Wand/Quick Selection tool ?

sorry if my questions sound too technical. :D

Aspect ratio? Not sure what you mean.

aspect ratio is when an image keeps it's shape when rescaled

for example if you take a square of 100x100 pixels and scale it twice as small while keeping it's aspect ratio, you would have a square of 50x50 pixels.

if you scale it twice as small without keeping it's aspect ratio, the square's height won't be equal to it's width: in other words: not a square.

here's another way to explain it:
Image
sig from the right is twice as small and keeps it's aspect ratio.

Image
sig from the right is twice as small and does not keep it's aspect ratio.

sorry for the mindfuck but many people make that mistake when scaling images for the first time,
just wanted to be sure you won't be one of them,
so will you answer my question ? :-)

I resized the original image to be exactly half of the pixels w*h and used the result in the sig.

Does that make sense? :?

thanks,you did good,we wouldn't want a fat/thin Joker. :joker:

btw you can use the chain icon in Free Transform mode to auto maintain the Aspect Ratio, saves time that way. :-)
