I was worried this wouldn't come to pass when THQ went into administration. But yesterday this video was set free onto the internet waves.

Irradiated Saints Flow, crotch-punching, cyber-bikes, bad spelling... I can't wait until August!

I came to the 3rd Street Saints late. I saw trailers for Saints Row The Third and thought they looked funny - so I bought the first two games so I wouldn't miss out story-wise. I'm so glad I did. There are several call-backs and the cast stays the same (except for the main character's voice).

I loved the third game so much, I bought it originally for the Xbox 360 - I recently also bought it for the PS3. This looks like it also takes place in Steelport, so I'm eager to find out the plot!

I want more Saints Flow, bigger explosions, more 80's songs and the hideout better have a stripper pole...

If I remember correctly what is now Saint's Row IV was originally going to be DLC for Saint's Row: The Third. Called something like "Enter the Dominatrix" or some such. That originally involved the Saints being trapped inside a virtual world where they could bend the rules of reality (further than they already do) and effectively gain superpowers. At least part of that looks like it still holds true for this fully fledged sequel.

It's on Wikipedia about that, but I think it's only part of the plot. Explains the light-cycle...
