Here's a bit of breaking news for you:

Quote:
The following is a part of a message from Shane McMahon regarding his WWE contract:

"It is with great sadness that I announce my resignation from the WWE, effective January 1, 2010.

I have never even considered a future outside the walls of the WWE. However, sometimes life takes an unexpected turn and while it is the most difficult decision I have ever made, it is time for me to move on."

He ends it saying he will always love the business and be a fan forever. There isnt a clear cut reason as to why he is resigning. More information as it comes along.

The resignation of Shane McMahon came as a shock to everyone in the company. There was no notice given to his employees or close friends. It is believed that Shane McMahon left the WWE to help his mother, Linda McMahon, in her bid to become Senator of Connecticut.

On WWE.com, Vince McMahon issued a statement:

"Even though I am personally saddened by Shane's decision to leave the company, I am proud of the enormous contributions he has made. He will unquestionable bring passion, commitment and extensive business experience to any endeavor he pursues."

We do know this isn't forever cause he is an heir to WWE and I bet maybe at one point we will see him in WWE again.

I'm kinda happy about this. With his terrible squash of Legacy and the interest I would have in reading an independantly produced autobiography, this makes for some pret-tay, pret-tay good news.
