Does anybody else think this concept would have made a lot more sense as a graphic novel than as a series?

It's to look forward to #2 when the cliffhanger was "Who killed two characters anybody who's been reading comics for more than a year knows won't still be dead by NEXT year?"

For that matter, does anybody else want to see a moratorium on characters we all know will be back? It's bordering on insult at this point.

And while I'm on a roll, if I read one more comment about "the Avengers movie's shocking ending"...

franchise comic books are rarely written for long term readers, as we grow older we require more effort from our stories, however comic books prefer to stick to one age demographic indefinably, mostly young adults

Hmm heady yes.

Makes sense to have such a place and Superman visiting a psychologist to discuss his tensions was a part of the Superman comics towards the end before Flashpoint.

Still at the moment it seems like a bit of a mess and is very unpleasant reading. Issue 8 has "explanations" and drama (from a first person retelling perspective anyway) but not exactly welcome explanations.

I was one of those that thought Hal Jordan's descent into "madness" and becoming Parallax was well written and worked. Even though it is nice in a way to have him back I was a bit disappointed when Johns retconned the entity answer.

This series HIC however and the attempt here to do something slightly similar with another character (yes i know it was an "accident" but the followup wasn't) just doesn't work for me.
