Comic Reader For Mac Desktop Recommendation?

Can anyone recommend a good cbr reader for a Mac Desktop? I have used ComicBookLover for years but it is no longer supported by its developer and is not performing as well as it use to with recent OS updates. I've tried some of the free ones but find they are not up to par with my old favourite.

I use iComics for my iPad and really like how it functions. Hoping to find something similar for desktop reading.

I used to use Jomic but it's become slow and undependable with my last system update. That might be a java issue. Both Simple Comic and Yet Comic Reader are ok but my current choice is YACreader. Its free and seems to be fast enough so far.

Mmm.... not heard of that one.... I'll try it on my W10 Laptop, I use ComicRack but can't get it to resolve double page spreads, so have lost faith in it. Plus, its good to try different readers - especially if they are free :-)

Good luck with that. I've only been using it for a few months but haven't had any issues so far. I see it has library function but haven't tried that out yet.

I don't know anyone else who uses this, but I use Sequential. It's definitely old software, but still works fine on my Mac. Anytime I try something else, I always end up coming back to Sequential.

Thanks for all the recommendations. I have given all of the recommendations a try. So far I am steered towards YACReader. Still lacks some small details that I really liked about ComicBookLover. ie Creates a preview thumbnail to every file the first time it opens them. I like having a preview image to quickly find an issue with its cover. Also, I find YACReader quits between books and you have to restart it every time. Beyond these minor wants, it is a solid reader.

It recently had an update so if you haven't tried it in a while it might be worth giving it another try.
