Some of you might remember me :p
When i came here it was awesome, I am pretty sure it was a bit more active and it was around the time I really dug into comics and comic related topics, so this place really caught my interest. I was on here every day and the people seemed so nice and familiar. Some of the people I interacted with at the time, like Lex are still active but others have just vanished.

Now I come here like once or twice a week just to find no progress on threads that should be booming, for example almost nobody reacted to the Batman V Superman footage or the suicide squad news or even the ongoing cw series' and it makes me sad.
The chat is pretty active, but because of time-zones (i think) when I come online nobody else is and I am left reading the log.

I was really looking forward to finally getting the "Knight" status back then. Man, so depressing. :?

I was thinking the same thing. I just joined and I have a hard time understanding why that is the case.

It's hard to donate to a site with little to no activity

Dastropy's state of the art barrier prevents any robots from invading our shores, alternatively maybe they just lost interest like most of us did :D

I still prefer the message board over, say Facebook because at least here we have some privacy, most of the Kingdom dwellers I'm friends with on FB constantly whine about their ex-wives or some other crap that I don't want to associate with their Comic Kingdom identity

I haven't lost interest, I'm quite happy to talk comics, music, games or any other old shit but trying to hold a conversation with only one side can get a bit boring. ;)

Ok, give me a good comic (DC or Marvel) to get back on the horse! I havent read anything in a while and need something to hook me. On a game standpoint, I just just started playing Elite Dangerous...not too bad.

I'd plump for Batman (either Scott Snyder's complete run or the new Rebirth title), Grayson or Detective Comics Rebirth onwards.

Can't say anything about Marvel as I don't read any regularly enough any more, but if you want a non-Marvel/DC/superhero recommendation I'd go with Southern Bastards, which is fantastic (if you like violent, vengeance based comics, of course)

You could try Black Widow by Mark Waid & Chris Samnee or Wonder Woman by Greg Rucka, Nicola Scott & Liam Sharp.

Hey folks. I'm still around but must confess, life has made it hard for me to stop and smell the roses as much these days. I generally find myself playing catch-up on my books these days as well. Nice to see that there are still pockets of life out there and I will try to make more of an effort to get some threads going.

Potential topics to start:
BvS: Dawn of Justice - shambling nonsense or did I completely miss the point
Suicide Squad movie - a step in the right direction or still more of the same DCMU problems?
Flashpoint for TV - general thoughts? (personally extremely excited! :yum: )
Spider-man (comics) - is it just me or has he developed an out of character, punch first ask questions later attitude?

All these questions and probably a few more if anyone is interested

Still dead.....Maybe we all kept it a secret for too long. No community outreach.
