DC have revealed that their monthly Rebirth titles will be getting a price increase from $2.99 to $3.99 in April (or £1.99 to £2.49 if you're in the U.K.). To offset this increase, DC will include a code to redeem in each issue for a digital copy that can be redeemed on Comixology. While this doesn't affect the bi-monthly titles (yet) the titles it does affect are:

Batgirl, Batgirl and the Birds of Prey, Batman Beyond, Batwoman, Blue Beetle, Cyborg, The Hellblazer, New Super-Man, Red Hood and the Outlaws, Super Sons, Supergirl, Superwoman, Teen Titans, Titans, and Trinity.

Additionally, All Star Batman, which has had a $4.99 price tag since launch, will remain the same, though it too will now include digital download codes upon purchase of the print issues.

Unfortunately, this price increase also seems to affect the digital versions, so those of us who currently already buy digital will get the price increase without the digital bonus - unless purchasing the digital copy means DC will send me the physical copy? No? Damn. ;)

I think this is an attempt to prevent the cancellation of those selected titles by price hike with a bonus digital copy. All these titles are probably at the low sector of sales chart, and perhaps will take a boost if sold with this bonus. I'm totally against price increase for comics, even if you have to use a lower grade of paper instead of the current glossy one.

It's been confirmed that the price increase won't include digital purchases - so if you're currently buying your comics on Comixology, you will still pay $2.99 after April rather than $3.99!

Good move by DC. Might seem obvious, but increasing the digital price would've been a bad move IMHO.
