Is the New 52 a good place to start with batman? Or should I just go back to the older ones?

A good portion of Batman fans, new and old, rave about the New 52 stuff. If you can get past the first slightly-muddled Court Of Owls stuff, it's quite good.

Urgh, looks like delays are starting to creep in on this one. Wonder if Snyder is stretching himself too thin?

Ugh that sucks!

But too thin...he's only writing

Batman
Wytches
Superman Unchained
The Wake
American Vampire

And overseeing Batman Eternal

Hmmmmm

As long as the quality doesn't drop & we're only talking a week I'll let it slide. This time.

Now that you list them he's not actually doing that much at the minute. The Wake and Superman Unchained have both finished. American Vampire is going on hiatus. So just the one ongoing, one mini-series & a plotting/supervisory role on another book.

Maybe it's just DC tinkering with the schedules then?

Bringing the publication schedules into line maybe? For finishing with the Convergence break?

Batman #37. Wow. The ending was obvious, but reading those two words...

#39......wowsers! I'm still not convinced that the Joker is actually the Pale Man, but Snyder is outdoing himself with this one!

Can't believe we have to wait one more month for the conclusion! :bat:

Oh, and does Snyder have a hate on for Alfred?

Just read that the finale of Batman: Endgame (so that's Batman #40) which SHOULD BE OUT THIS MONTH on 25th of March has been delayed until...

29th APRIL

Bollocks. :(

I don't mind the wait. I like Endgame alot, even more than Death of the Family which ended up disappointing me. Time will fly when your in a state of hype. Plenty of other things to read in the meantime. Just please don't end in an underwhelming fashion as well. You've built this up, please hit it out the park Snyder. Send me to the heavens.

So Batman #43. Thoughts?

I really am enjoying the Superheavy arc more than I thought. And already getting some answers (& hints) as to how this progresses is fantastic.

I do find myself wondering where this fits with We Are...Robin & Robin: Son of Batman (I know, I know, story over continuity) but it's shaping up to be one of Snyder's best arcs yet!

So...7 issues until #50 (which we already know will have Bruce back in the cowl from previous information). Be interstibg yo see how this all pans out.
