so far, I would say this season has been excellent. They are continuing the HYDRA/SHIELD story from The Winter Soldier and late last season of the show, the vidual effects have been MUCH better than last year so far... especially so with Absorbing Man. New characters have been pretty great, as well. Overall, very happy with the show so far. Last year it was trying to find it's footing, this year it seems to be off and running.

Thoughts?

I totally agree, I love the show anyway, but the follow-up from last season has only helped make it a stronger. It will be interesting to see how it copes being a stand alone show this season as there aren't any big screen movies to crossover with until Age of Ultron, but that isn't due out until the end of Season2 if I'm right.

Finale -
Coulson: "Oh, by the way, have you guys heard of this thing Tony's making?"
Skye: "What, Ultron? Sounds like a bad Japanese anime..."
END

Because 1: foreshadowing and 2: Non-Otaku Americans always say 'Japanese anime'.

I'm enjoying it - but I enjoyed last season too. I agree Absorbing Man was some great CGI.

So I have been loving this season so far and it has just gone on Winter break with a massive setup for the next half of the season and for the show itself, as well as the cinematic universe. I have got to say I am so glad I stuck it out during the early part of season 1. AoS has really got it going now!

If I'd bothered to look up the comic character I suspected Skye's dad to be, I'd have worked out her 'real' name months ago.

Spoiler: show
When he first killed those bikers/gang bangers I said to my wife "He's a doctor who transforms. Mr Hyde?" Turns out I was right, and his comic counterpart does have a daughter named Daisy who 'might be a mutant'. If I'd hit up Wikia one night, I'd have solved it.
