While most people dig the superheroes, I've always been more for the horror and adventure titles. I have a special place in my heart for Golden Age horror such as EC's Tales from the Crypt or Haunt of Fear and the many otehr titles EC and otherwise.

IDW/Yoe Comics have put together a series of reprints, in the vein of Russ Cochran's EC reprints published in the 1990 (if you recall those), of various Golden Age horror stories under the title Haunted Horror. I highly recommend them.

The first volume, if you're not able to find them locally, is available as a hardbound edition.

That is actually one of the series I pick up but not on Wednesdays when I am filling my pull. It's one I may get on a Friday or Monday when I am looking for something to read to hold me over until Wednesday. For which this series is excellent at. Short stories in anthology format. They make great gifts as well for people who may not necessarily be into comics because everyone likes spooky stories.

I picked up Haunted Horror #10 for half off at my local on Free Comic Book Day. They had trade half off too so I snagged Marvel's "Tomb of Dracula" vol 1 and DC Showcase "House of Secrets" vol 2.
