Hey guys so I decided to read the Phoenix Saga again ....I was wondering if this reading order is familiar to anyone and if ALL these issues are necessary? here's what i got......

The Uncanny X-Men #105-108
Marvel Team-Up Annual #1
Marvel Team-Up #53
Marvel Tales #262
Iron Fist #15
Wolverine vs Hercules
Marvel Team-Up v1 #65-66
The Uncanny X-Men #109-110
Marvel Team-Up v1 #69-70
The Uncanny X-Men #111-121
Uncanny X-Men Annual #3

I don't remember all these issues lol but I'm on the newer side of reading all these tie ins due to the fact that now we have such blatant access to them :)....which is a beautiful thing!

You could skip Marvel Team-Up #53 (just a cameo appearance), MTU #65-66 (no X-Men, but Spider-Man and Captain Britain vs Arcade, who turns up again in X-Men #123-4), and MTU #69-70 (Spider-Man/Havok/Thor v the Living Monolith, no Phoenix). Marvel Tales #262 was a weak 5-pager pitting the X-Men against some lame villains from Steve Englehart's West Coast Avengers. If Wolverine vs Hercules is the 6-page backup from Marvel Treasury Edition #26, you could skip that one too.
The reading order is missing Phoenix's first appearance in X-Men #101, which came at the end of a storyline that had been running since #97 or 98. It also misses X-Men #122 & 125-137. You might also want to try Classic X-Men #8-10, 13-15, 17-18, 20-21, 24, 26 & 43, which featured continuity implant material written by Chris Claremont. According to the Marvel chronology Project, Phoenix's first chronological appearance was in X-Men the Hidden Years #8 by John Byrne.

I'm not an expert on the X-Men by any means, but I'm happy to help out if I can.
