PC is about 4 years old. It's got 4G RAM, a newer vid card and power supply, and is running windows 7.

I powered it down proper and unplugged it cause a nasty storm was brewing in the area. Now it won't turn on.

Am planning to call local repair businesses in a few hours when they open to see about getting the problem figured out today. But this me panicing.

What could be the problem?

If it's the motherboard, could I possibly just get a new one and build a PC with my current stuffs?

If nothing is powering up, then its most likely your power supply. Check your outlets, switches, circuit breakers, etc...

Did you even open your computer?

You can also try taking out your ram and putting it back in, it helps with laptops in my experience.

Do you hear sounds? any lights or leds? Alternatively, you can take out your HD and plug it into another computer if you have or a hd dock to gather you data that you need.
