Thunderbolts won't be cancelled due to low sales. It'll be cancelled because it's now reached issue 30.

Latest one to bite the bullet - X-Factor at #20

This isn’t a secret because I announced it back at Dragon*Con, but Bleeding Cool seems compelled to announce it incorrectly by stating that X-Factor is cancelled with #19.

Which is not true. It’s cancelled with #20.

Also for some reason Bleeding Cool is associating it with the fact that Quicksilver will be returning to the Avengers and that’s why the book is going away. No, it’s because not enough people are buying it. Which is exactly the reason they cancelled “Gambit” as well, so it’ll probably be a long time before he gets to star in another book.

All I did was write a book that got tons of positive write-ups. Which I guess is enough to encourage people to buy it when it comes out in trades, oblivious to the fact that books get cancelled when you do that. Whatever.

Me, I remember when Rich Johnston used to write to me for confirmation before running stuff. Apparently that’s no longer the case.

They'll probably put Gambit back with the Jean Grey School faction of X-Men. Probably the same with all of them outside of Danger. Interesting to see what they'll do with Polaris though.

Can you call it an "era" if it didn't even last 13 issues?

It's Marvel and their good old hyperbole. A few more choice selections from the January solicits are:

This is the moment everything changes. There is no coming back from this.

Bullseye, really? The man has had more second chances than Xavier.

In Daredevil, he was stuck in an iron lung, unable to speak or move AND BLINDED. Oh noes, Elektra best watch out! He might LISTEN AT YOU!

On another note, Elektra and Black Widow are not two characters who have ever held an ongoing. Why do they keep trying? Deadpool is the only killer who has kept a series going past a couple dozen issues. Punisher even struggles to maintain one, with volume 9 the current one.

Not confirmed but Chris Claremont has dropped a hint that Nightcrawler is not long for this world.

Chris Claremont's Facebook page wrote:
Danny Occhipinti Write a post about what are our thoughts on the newest Nightcrawler!! I liked it!! Lol. (Claremont easter eggs!!)

Chris Claremont Danny – very glad you liked it. I guess my basic thought is that it’s a pity there won’t be a Nightcrawler Year 2.
