For whomever might be interested...

About a year ago I started writing a movie review blog called Kentucky Fried Popcorn, mostly focused on obscure older horror films. Basically I started it just to goof around with something in my spare time. As the blog progressed, I decided to try and make it a bit different from the million other "all text block" review blogs out there by incorporating a set of comic characters who would watch and comment on the movies alongside the reviews.
Example here - Review for "American Horror Story"
http://kentuckyfriedpopcorn.blogspot.com/2012/02/american-horror-story.html

The concept is that a group of friends in 1977 build a TV that can receive movies and shows from all different time periods, and they comment on them from their 1977 perspective. They say "Write what you know", and what I know was being 11 years old in 1977, so there you go.

Anyway, this occasional sidebar commentary has now developed into a more or less continuing web comic story of its own. It's REALLY early and crude work - I've only done a handful of strips - so don't expect polish or perfection. That said, I'd be curious to hear what anyone thinks if they care to spare a few minutes reading a few of the first toons.
