For your info Lex this interest aren't short lived so I don't see why you get that idea that other questions I have asked were just that. And me asking questions about what band or singer to listen to of a certain genre is way different then any of the other questions I ask because anyone can go search for it but do they know they are worth listening to? No. Which is why I get suggestions from others because they have listened to these bands or singers which show me these particular bands or singers are worth giving a listen to.

so how's that collection of model starships coming along ? :-)

the four that I mentioned are my personal favorite, the honorable mentions are pure statistics based on each composer's popularity in the jazz industry

and statistically: statistics don't lie

Some wonderfully bizarre choices there Lex, many I'd guess that are not even close to being labelled as Jazz artists.

Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald are my favorites.

:edit: For something more current, Amy Whinehouse is pretty great too

So far so good but you can only buy model starships when you have the money to spend on them but I have been slowly working one at a time on and off when I have the time.

I'd recommend the Soft Machine or the Cinematic Orchestra, neither are strictly jazz but very heavily jazz influenced
