I just saw Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. You would not think it would as funny as it was. Sit there through the credits or you will miss the Howard the Duck scene.

spoilers, man... spoilers!!!!

seriously, though... that's scene was NOTHING like I expected the post-credit scene to be, not with Avengers 2 up next.. I was hoping to see Cosmo talk but that's for GotG2, I suppose.

this could be the Marvel movie with the most heart of all. Such a great flick!

"WE... ARE..."
Yeah... I teared up hard right about then!

As for Cosmo? Not to dim the hopes, but I really think he was present only for comic-fan service and I don't think Gunn will actively use him in the sequel.

Overall, just about everything I would expect of James Gunn.
My only "complaint" which is more an observation is that I found Saldana far too... "accommodating" in her characterization of Gamora. Even my wife thought she should be "colder" and she's never even read the comic.
It wasn't that big a deal and didn't ruin it for me. Just found it a little dissonant. I thought Nebula was characterized far better by comparison.

So many quotable moments! Going again next weekend!

I thought Nebula's characterization and look was just so amazing... but I've read some reviews calling her 1 dimensional. If anything, she was the villain I wanted to see more of... and it DEFINITELY gave the impression we will be seeing more of her...

Leave it to the press to criticize "alien" as "one-dimensional." And she was appropriately alien in the role.

Fantastic. That is the only way to describe GoG. My daughters both loved it & my wife said it was the best comic book film she'd seen so far - and I have to agree, as it was a "comic book movie". Not an action film based on a comic book, but an out & out comic book movie.

I can't wait to see it again!

This is easily one of my favorite movies of all time. I had no idea of what to expect going in, but I ended up seeing it twice in theaters because it was simply that awesome. Besides, that soundtrack? Pure gold. And I just loved Peter Quill and his awkward/awesome dance-off. Best movie scene ever!

The only character I was disappointed in was Yondu. I love Michael Rooker, but not only was his characterization wrong for the character, I didn't like him being 1000 years out of his "appropriate" time.

Brilliant film - one I'd watch over and over again.

I just saw this and it was fantastic. Unfortunately I saw it on the small screen when it really needs to be seen on as big a screen as possible.

I watched it in 3D on 42" TV, an awesome experience I will not soon forget
