Looks like you'll have to settle for this for now (from GotG #1):

I just finished the first issue....it's so bad, and really? a one panel explanation....and he even mentions that thanos is still somehow alive (no explanation, but this was expected as he'll be in A2).

Um, wow - make that 2 issues before McNiven needs a hand.

Dude has NO excuse. The Point One issue containing the Guardians Point One issue came out, what, December? So he had at least half of that issue illustrated by October at the latest.

So just read the 3rd Nova, 1/6th of a page explanation about Richard Rider....Sam Alexander is the new Nova I guess. Space as we know it, is gone.

I can only assume Bendis thought this was hilarious. Just another example of why I don't buy his books.

I don't get that comment. What does Stark have against Captain Britain? I can't recall them even talking to each other (although they probably have at one point).

I suppose the real question is "What does Bendis have against Captain Britain?". I actually like GotG so far, but that is a weird line.

Also, am I the only one that misses Captain Britain & MI-13? That was a great book.

Agreed!! was a great book.. very missed..

I think cap brit is currently in charge of protecting the multiverse or something..so he should be pretty good if we still exist..

CB&MI:13 was a class book, shame enough people just didn't "get it".

It's just another instance of Bendis being lazy & going for a cheap laugh. Cap & Iron Man have both been on the Avengers roster before so he should know Cap's more than capable (unless written by Remender but that's a whole other character assassination).

There's also this:

Who to call? MI:13 maybe? You are in London after all. They managed to kick the Skrulls out of England while the Avengers were still dicking around in the Savage Land during Secret Invasion iirc so have a bit of experience with alien invaders.

Haven't enjoyed this version as much as the last so far, but I'll stick with it.

I have never read any of the previous Guardians volumes or any of the Marvel in Space stuff but I am really enjoying this book and has been great fun so far.

Still undecided if I should go back and read some of the older stuff or just go with the Marvel Now! flow.

The team is getting a shake up next year in time for an appearance in Marvel's FCBD comic (and to start the build up for the movie release).
