Erm know of any good, free online games to recommend? I'm looking for the kind you play on the pc, not the x-box of ps3 kind. Thanks Thanks

Maple Story,it's a free-to-play MMORPG side-scroller,but don't let its atmosphere fool you,it's a tough game.

Easy answer.

Age of Empires Online. Free to download and play via Steam. There are things that they charge you for but if you play efficiently you can earn the points for them rather than spend your own cash. But it's only about 10euro anyway.

Assuming you mean Free MMORPGs:
I have played or do play...
Lord of the Rings Online
Rune of Magic (pretty much a free version of WOW)
Champions
City of Heroes

They are all flawed in one way or another but not so much you can't enjoy them...
depending on what you like about online gaming.

Still looking to try out DCUO but I'm in no rush since it sounded like a lot of early-adopters were pretty disappointed.

I know of others I have no personal experience with. I could let you know about them too if you like; I'll have to go look them up, buried somewhere in my bookmarks somewhere.

DC Universe Online is really fun and you can do a good 50+hours even playing free.

'Dear Mortal Head of State,
I came here today to explain the true and total consequences of your actions over the last several months. I'm guessing after today that would be unnecessary.
It's not every day that a human finds himself responsible for the death of a god and then on that very same day escapes facing another.
Surely fortune favors you, and the men I spared. Enjoy it.
But before you wash your hands of my father's blood, I would encourage you to reflect on what brought us to this point:
You sacrificed honor for expediency. You traded intent for quick action. You were wrong . . and we all suffered for it.
So do better now mortal man . . for if not I, then surely some god somewhere will someday find you wanting.
It would be a shame to wager your good fortune with folly.

The God of Fear.
Son of War. '

If you join good old games, you get some of the ultima games for free. Not online though.

But I really do like games like Monster's den and sequels or protector and sequels as decent casual browser based games.

Runescape is good. Browser based, there is a large free area then and larger paid area. The free area is big enough for a good 20-30+ game play.

Although it doesn't get much buzz, I like Rusty Hearts. Gets a bit grindy after a while but I do like the character designs and humor.
