Anyone a wrestling fan? I'm a huge wrestling fan but haven't watched any in ages and am just getting back into it. What promotion do you like? Favourite wrestlers?

(If this gets a good response I may start doing wrestling downloads!)

Been watching for ages. First show I saw was the one from Wembley where British Bulldog won Bret Hat.

Don't have time to watch as much lately. WWE is a bit hit and miss & TNA is only worth it for the PPVs.

Probably favourite wrestler to watch would be Kurt Angle - always manages to have good matches (except when he preforms injured which unfortunately happened a bit towards the end of his WWE run).

You both get 100 sexy points.

You gotta love Mick Foley, right?

I'm a bit 50/50 with Mick at the minute. He's had plenty of cracking matches but since his "retirement" in 2000 I think he's only had a couple (Edge & Randy Orton) that have been anywhere near decent.

And his books have gone downhill too. Thoroughly enjoyed the first couple but Hardcore Diaries was a real struggle - I almost didn't finish it (and I NEVER leave a book unfinished).

Loved his 1st 2 books, read them both a couple of times. Didn't even know Hardcore Diaries existed. Did you ever read Tietam Brown?

I don't pay too much attention to anything he's done post-retirement, nothing will equal his earlier stuff.

Like you I loved the first two books (even got my copy of "Have A Nice Day" signed by the man himself when he was at one of the Memorabilia shows). Hardcore Diaries is in a similar vein but alternates chapters between Mick the wrestler (which are good, dealing with building the storylines round one of him comeback runs) and Mick & his celebrity friends (which are bad, chapter after chapter of name dropping).

Never got round to Tietem Brown (or any of his other fiction books) - may give it a go at some point. Tend to stick to the biographies & books dealing with the back stage goings on. Have a shelf full of various WWE, WCW & ECW books - about 30 or so at last count I think.

Tietam Brown was worth reading, it doesn't start too well but once you're a couple of chapters in it's a really well written piece of fiction.

Loved DX. One of my favourite WWF times was the build-up to the Foley/HHH Hell in the Cell. Some of the spots that Mick did as Cactus Jack were absolutely awesome.
