Gotta say it was a cool arc.

Of course Thor comes back to life and Bucky is still alive (if you read 7.1 and 7.2

I think it went on far too long and really didn't justify being billed as such a big "event". Not in the same league as Civil War or Secret Invasion.

When I go to my lcs next week I gotta cancel all the tie ins to Fear Itself, I was interested in the main story to an extent, then the 7.'s but now the story itself is all pointless and was erased so while i wasnt sucked in with all the tie ins like civil war, im annoyed very much on how little the outcome of the event lasted

The one good thing of the 7's was the 3. As a whole i have to say the only good thing that came out of the event were the Iron Man tie ins.

Awesome work of the Artists and writers. By far the best work.

I think the whole thing went a little long, but I really enjoyed in 7.3 when
Spoiler: show
Odin finally put Tony in his place. He needed that. I both loved and hated the whole "poof and Paris is fixed" thing. The triteness (is that a word?) of the whole thing demonstrated both Odin's "divinity" and Tony's real insignificance as compared to the rest of reality. I'd like to see what Tony's going to do with that. But I hate that an event of that magnitude is just swept under the rug. Of course, I guess it's a matter of perspective, which seems to be what the creative powers were trying to convey with this story. In addition to just conveniently fixing things so next issue isn't too hard to write.
Sorry, I didn't mean to ramble.

Yes, these "its all okay, nothing happened" - moments are doing nothing good for the marvel u.

I think it would be a much more interesting U if we would see problems unsolved. that not Superman/God comes around and just fixes the tragedy within a second.

Without tragedy there is no learning, no character , no interested reader.

What is it with these disneyesque events of Marvel?

For me, the Iron Man comic was one of the few enjoyable parts of F I and the disturbin paris stuff with the dead screaming children and mothers out of stone and whole areas of Paris full of shards of those people - THAT was something. That was dramatic and probably everyone could understand Tonys depression after that event.

Some comics later *PUFF* everything is back to normal...

Same with the Civil War Arch! I just dont get why the writers would give their storys so little weight in the long run.

Because they're not allowed to - everything has to be (for the most part) reset in time for the next "Earth-shattering, never-before-seen, nothing-will-be-the-same-again" event.

If comics never 'reset' reality after each arch, there wouldn't be much left of Earth to defend. The writers tend to just hope people enjoy the build up and resolution much more than the aftermath. They did however use the fact that Odin 'disappeared' to be his brother's keeper as a plot device for continuing Asgard/Thor in a new direction.
