To think I was actually looking forward to this one when it was first announced. Now I'm not sure if I even care any more...

Dexter #1

WAS - 03/10/12

THEN - 02/01/13

THEN - 20/02/13

THEN - 06/03/13

NOW - 24/04/13

6 months of delays for an #1 sure is one way to kill any anticipation for a book.

ugh. I can only wonder if this is creative/artistic issues or a strategic manuever with the new season of Dexter starting in June as opposed to September like usual....

lol, no - not even the latest of late pairings (Millar & Hitch) managed a 6 month delay.

If it is a creative reason though then it's got to be down to the writer Jeff Lindsay (writer of the Dexter novels) as the artist on the project has done a 4 issue Deadpool mini-series in the time since #1 of this was announced.

For what it's worth, I would stay away from the mini. If you've read Lindsay's last book (Double Dexter), then you know that he's just phoning it in at this point. It's actually a bit depressing since I love the hell out of the first two books. The third just got weird, it's been a slippery slope downhill ever since.

That's exactly how I feel about the books too. First two were great, third seemed to focus on a supernatural element that simply wasn't needed and the fourth is still sat on my shelf waiting to be read (not sure if I'll get round to it or buy any of the others).

The first book was amazing, couldn't put it down! But it started going downhill from there
