Do you think Convergence will be good? It looks like it might, but DC's been hit or miss with me for the past few years.

Only read the zero issue so far (I am even more behind on my reading than usual) and that was a mess from start to finish. Wasn't expecting much from the main series though to be honest. I'm mainly on board for the two parters.

Hmm, read #1 and it's still not looking good. LOTS of clunky dialogue and an uninteresting set-up. Wish I'd been shelf picking this rather than pre-ordering it.

I've read up to the current issue (#6) & I'll be honest - I'm still not 100% sure what the point of it all is.

I did enjoy the latest issue more than some of the earlier issues, but it's not great at the moment is it? Certainly don't think it's going to be remembered as well as the original Crises on Infinite Earths or the other "events".

Also,
Spoiler: show
who the hell is the "big guy" New 52 Guy Gardner asks Superman if he's coming?!? And just where does this fit in New 52 chronology?

I'm this far in so I'm in till the end now, but sheesh - there's a lot to sort out in two issues!

#2 was a bit better. Some of the character work was interesting but the clunky dialogue persists.

Big mistake imho to give something like this to a virgin writer.

Overall this was pretty meh. The main series was kinda okay in an old school sensibility. The two-parters (at least the ones I picked up) were more miss than hit.

High points - Shazam, Swamp Thing, The Question, Nightwing/Oracle

Disappointing to hear, I've held off reading the issues I do have so far, as I simply haven't had the time and I've been far more invested in Secret Wars over at Marvel.

I really wanted to get onboard with some of the two parters as well, much more than the main series, but I guess you need the 'glue' that ties the off-shoots together. I will eventually give it a try I guess, if solely for the chance of reading about Booster Gold and Wally West again.

Seems like DC were happy enough with how it performed as they're coming out with three continuation/spin-off titles in October.

But can they keep this world from suffering the same fate as their own? Can this Superman stop the villains he once fought before they are created on this world? What is Intergang, and why does Lois’s discovery of it place everyone she loves in jeopardy? And what will happen when their nine-year-old son learns the true identity of his parents?

TELOS #1
Written by Jeff King
Art by Carlo Pagulayan and Jason Paz
On-sale October 7
The villain of the world-shattering CONVERGENCE event stars in his own new series! Set loose from his planetary tether at the end of the best-selling CONVERGENCE, Telos finds himself free and able to traverse space and time via a sliver of Brainiac’s powers. As this epic begins, he embarks on an odyssey, journeying across time and space in search of his past.

TITANS HUNT #1
Written by Dan Abnett

Really? They had an ongoing series not 4 years ago, and now they're unknown?

I got around to reading most of this event recently. Twists and turns, as far as Booster Gold goes, but the rest was firmly 'okay'.

A lot of the two-parters should have overlapped a lot more than the 0% they actually did, and one or two (Titans...) ended without much of a resolution.
