I've always wondered about this: Which superheroes get their power through their costumes (or any worn garment, such as masks or necklaces) ?

For example, Tony Stark is a "muggle" (hahaha, outdated Harry Potter terminology), but when he wears his armor he becomes Iron Man. Also the symbiote suit for Spiderman, that, although Spidey had his own array of powers, it increased his strength and toughness considerably, provided him with shapeshifting and infinite webbing.

Are there other heroes with similar situations?

green lantern, or any of the lantern corps yet. Also I am not sure if it would count but batman. sure he has the stealth but his bat belt has all of his tools he uses such as the batarang. Also money is his accessory that enables him to fight crime.

That doesn't count, since A) Money isn't directly wearable, and B) Batman is who he is by using his detective skills and physical training. Also, He lacks any kind of superpower.

Erm, what about:

Darkhawk
Quasar
Prowler
Cyborg?

Dont know if characters like Bulletman would count - without the costume and pills he couldnt be Bulletman. But do we then count Hourman and similar heroes? Is Starman, Starman without the Cosmic Rod is the Beefeater indeed Beefeater without his rod of beef (not sure that's the correct term - but it works for me)
